Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Salamon Kawlan Min Rabin Raheem (Peace, A Word From A Merciful God) by Mahmoud Hammad was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Dubai in March 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,410.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mahmoud Hammad - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lika'a Bnafasaji Asrak bi Khamsat Awkat (Rythme bleu - mauve en 5 temps), which sold at auction in October 2014 for USD 118,750.00 (€ 94,772.55).

Die Arbeit Salamon Kawlan Min Rabin Raheem (Peace, A Word From A Merciful God) von Mahmoud Hammad wurde im März 2016 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 38.410,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
