Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
This work without title by Magdalene Odundo was worth GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,314.31) to a buyer in September 2019. This price was achieved in the auction Made in Britain at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Magdalene Odundo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in June 2021 with an auction result of GBP 378,000.00 (€ 440,468.26).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit ohne Titel von Magdalene Odundo war einem Käufer im September 2019 GBP 37.500,00 (€ 42.314,31) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Magdalene Odundo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 378.000,00 (€ 440.468,26).
