Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Terracotta Symmetrical Piece by Magdalene Odundo was sold in the Made In Britain auction at Sothebys in London in April 2014. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 16,875.00 (€ 20,540.78). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Magdalene Odundo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in June 2021 with an auction result of GBP 378,000.00 (€ 440,468.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Terracotta Symmetrical Piece von Magdalene Odundo wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion Made In Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 16.875,00 (€ 20.540,78) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Magdalene Odundo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 378.000,00 (€ 440.468,26).
