In February 2008 Phillips in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Plan of the Ants-Red No. 3 by Ma Han. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 16,100.00 (€ 21,058.17), 34% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ma Han - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Plan Of The Ants - Red, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 487,500.00 (€ 49,588.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2008 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Plan of the Ants-Red No. 3 von Ma Han zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 16.100,00 (€ 21.058,17) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ma Han mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Plan Of The Ants - Red beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 487.500,00 (€ 49.588,00) versteigert wurde.
