Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work One And Many Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4 (Set Of Four) by Ma Han was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 68,750.00 (€ 5,665.87). Admittedly, works by Ma Han have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Plan Of The Ants - Red in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 487,500.00 (€ 49,588.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit One And Many Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4 (Set Of Four) von Ma Han im April 2008 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 68.750,00 (€ 5.665,87) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ma Han auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Plan Of The Ants - Red im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 487.500,00 (€ 49.588,00).
