Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ma Han achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2008. In the Contemporary Chinese Art auction, the work Plan Of The Ants - Black sold for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 44,502.05) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ma Han; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Plan Of The Ants - Red sold at auction in October 2008 with the realized price of HKD 487,500.00 (€ 49,588.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ma Han erzielte im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art wurde die Arbeit Plan Of The Ants - Black für HKD 437.500,00 (€ 44.502,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ma Han; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Plan Of The Ants - Red im Oktober 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 487.500,00 (€ 49.588,00).
