Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Superfície Modulada No. 2 by Lygia Clark. The price achieved of USD 461,000.00 (€ 338,821.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lygia Clark have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Contra Relevo (Objeto N. 7) in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 2,225,000.00 (€ 1,713,119.80).
