Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Bicho by Lygia Clark was sold in the Latin American Sale auction at Christies in New York in November 2003. Here, the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 65,725.00 (€ 54,793.66). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lygia Clark achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Contra Relevo (Objeto N. 7) in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 2,225,000.00 (€ 1,713,119.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bicho von Lygia Clark wurde im November 2003 in der Auktion Latin American Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 65.725,00 (€ 54.793,66) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lygia Clark erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Contra Relevo (Objeto N. 7) im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.225.000,00 (€ 1.713.119,80).
