Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bicho parafuso sem fim by Lygia Clark was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,685,000.00 (€ 1,235,337.24) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Lygia Clark have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2013 the work Contra Relevo (Objeto N. 7) was auctioned for USD 2,225,000.00 (€ 1,713,119.80).

Die Arbeit Bicho parafuso sem fim von Lygia Clark kam im Mai 2014 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500.000,00 – 2.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.685.000,00 (€ 1.235.337,24) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
