Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2012 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & Early British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work View of the Pool of Bethesda and one of the gates of the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem by Luigi Mayer. The price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,533.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00.
