Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction European Art Online | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Two Views along the Nile: by Luigi Mayer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,352.00 (€ 3,989.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luigi Mayer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of the port and the city of Constantinople, from Leander's Tower in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 89,078.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion European Art Online | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Views along the Nile: von Luigi Mayer zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.352,00 (€ 3.989,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luigi Mayer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View of the port and the city of Constantinople, from Leander's Tower im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 73.250,00 (€ 89.078,82).
