Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work The Fortune Teller by Ludolf de Jongh for USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,482.70). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ludolf de Jongh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a boy, full-length, in a gold-embroidered grey costume with a feathered hat and a cane, his hand on the head of a lurcher, with a garden seen through the door behind in December 2008 with an auction result of GBP 97,250.00 (€ 102,140.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Fortune Teller von Ludolf de Jongh für USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.482,70) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ludolf de Jongh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a boy, full-length, in a gold-embroidered grey costume with a feathered hat and a cane, his hand on the head of a lurcher, with a garden seen through the door behind im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 97.250,00 (€ 102.140,80).
