In September 2015 Christies in London held the auction First Open/LDN, which included the work The Danger In Jazz by Lucy McKenzie. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,375.00 (€ 12,695.98), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucy McKenzie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Olga Korbut in October 2016 with an auction result of GBP 317,000.00 (€ 353,147.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Im September 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open/LDN durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Danger In Jazz von Lucy McKenzie zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 12.695,98) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucy McKenzie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Olga Korbut im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 317.000,00 (€ 353.147,60).
