Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Rome by Luc Tuymans. The price achieved of GBP 1,500,000.00 (€ 1,722,416.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200,000.00 – 1,800,000.00. Other works by Luc Tuymans have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2016 the work Mrs. was auctioned for GBP 1,482,500.00 (€ 1,899,640.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rome von Luc Tuymans zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.500.000,00 (€ 1.722.416,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200.000,00 – 1.800.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Luc Tuymans konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2016 die Arbeit Mrs. für GBP 1.482.500,00 (€ 1.899.640,69) versteigert.
