This artwork by Louise Nevelson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2008. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Mirror Shadow Xxxvii sold for USD 623,400.00 (€ 400,642.67) - well above the upper estimate of USD 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louise Nevelson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dawn's Landscape XLIII, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 1,159,200.00 (€ 1,122,929.38).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Louise Nevelson erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Mirror Shadow Xxxvii für USD 623.400,00 (€ 400.642,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 350.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Louise Nevelson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dawn's Landscape XLIII beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 1.159.200,00 (€ 1.122.929,38) versteigert wurde.
