This artwork by Louise Giovanelli achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October last year. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Seal sold for GBP 26,460.00 (€ 30,825.61) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louise Giovanelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Ex, which sold at auction in October this year for GBP 76,200.00 (€ 87,498.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louise Giovanelli erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Seal für GBP 26.460,00 (€ 30.825,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Louise Giovanelli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An Ex beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für GBP 76.200,00 (€ 87.498,77) versteigert wurde.
