Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Louise Giovanelli achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in December this year. In the New Now auction, the work Peeping Tom sold for GBP 63,500.00 (€ 73,149.57) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Louise Giovanelli; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot An Ex sold at auction in October this year with the realized price of GBP 76,200.00 (€ 87,498.77).
