Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nude in Desert, California Arizona Border by Louise Dahl-Wolfe was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in October this year. The price achieved of USD 8,255.00 (€ 7,811.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louise Dahl-Wolfe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nude On Beach, California, 1948, which sold at auction in May 2013 for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,998.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nude in Desert, California Arizona Border von Louise Dahl-Wolfe wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.255,00 (€ 7.811,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Louise Dahl-Wolfe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nude On Beach, California, 1948 beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.998,79) versteigert wurde.
