Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Louise Dahl-Wolfe could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in December 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Gift of Photographs auction, the work Nude with Shadows changed hands for USD 1,083.75 (€ 886.14) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louise Dahl-Wolfe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nude On Beach, California, 1948 in May 2013 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,998.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louise Dahl-Wolfe konnte im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Gift of Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Nude with Shadows für USD 1.083,75 (€ 886,14) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louise Dahl-Wolfe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nude On Beach, California, 1948 im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.998,79).
