The work Japanese Bath by Louise Dahl-Wolfe was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in October this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,890.00 (€ 8,412.19), 27% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louise Dahl-Wolfe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nude On Beach, California, 1948, which sold at auction in May 2013 for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,998.79).

Die Arbeit Japanese Bath von Louise Dahl-Wolfe wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.890,00 (€ 8.412,19) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Louise Dahl-Wolfe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nude On Beach, California, 1948 beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.998,79) versteigert wurde.
