Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Red flowers in a jug by Louis Stutterheim was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2003. The price achieved of EUR 657.25 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Stutterheim have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peasants on a riverbank in July 2000 with an auction result of NLG 7,021.20 (€ 3,086.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Red flowers in a jug von Louis Stutterheim wurde im September 2003 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 657,25 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Stutterheim auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Peasants on a riverbank im Juli 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 7.021,20 (€ 3.086,27).
