Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work A farmhouse by a stream by Louis Stutterheim. The price achieved of EUR 956.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Stutterheim - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Peasants on a riverbank, which sold at auction in July 2000 for NLG 7,021.20 (€ 3,086.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit A farmhouse by a stream von Louis Stutterheim zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 956,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Stutterheim mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Peasants on a riverbank beobachtet, die im Juli 2000 für NLG 7.021,20 (€ 3.086,27) versteigert wurde.
