Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Can Can by Louis Icart was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in September this year. The price achieved of USD 5,120.00 (€ 4,837.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Icart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elegante Et Fillette Au Levrier, which sold at auction in March 2009 for EUR 19,126.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Can Can von Louis Icart kam im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.120,00 (€ 4.837,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Icart mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elegante Et Fillette Au Levrier beobachtet, die im März 2009 für EUR 19.126,00 versteigert wurde.
