The »bidding war« ended at USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,739.58), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Louis-Gabriel-Eugène Isabey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bateaux échoués (Honfleur, Low Tide) in October 2004 with an auction result of USD 153,100.00 (€ 120,116.11).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.739,58) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis-Gabriel-Eugène Isabey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bateaux échoués (Honfleur, Low Tide) im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 153.100,00 (€ 120.116,11).
