This artwork by Louis Apol achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2012. In the Impressionist and Modern Art auction, the work A horse-drawn cart on a snowy path sold for EUR 20,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Apol - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A horse-drawn cart on a snowy path, which sold at auction in May 2013 for EUR 79,500.00.
