In October last year Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Made in Holland, which included the work A snow covered path in winter by Louis Apol. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 25,200.00 26% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Apol - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A horse-drawn cart on a snowy path, which sold at auction in May 2013 for EUR 79,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Made in Holland durch, in der auch die Arbeit A snow covered path in winter von Louis Apol zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 25.200,00 und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Apol mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A horse-drawn cart on a snowy path beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für EUR 79.500,00 versteigert wurde.
