In November 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th CenturyArt - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work A Windmill In Winter by Louis Apol. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,375.00 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Louis Apol have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A horse-drawn cart on a snowy path in May 2013 with an auction result of EUR 79,500.00.

Im November 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th CenturyArt - (including Dutch Impressionism) durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Windmill In Winter von Louis Apol zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 9.375,00 und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Apol auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A horse-drawn cart on a snowy path im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 79.500,00.
