Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A snow covered winter landscape with a windmill by Louis Apol was sold in the Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2015. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Apol - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A horse-drawn cart on a snowy path, which sold at auction in May 2013 for EUR 79,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A snow covered winter landscape with a windmill von Louis Apol wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 20.000,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Apol mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A horse-drawn cart on a snowy path beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für EUR 79.500,00 versteigert wurde.
