Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Along a canal in winter by Louis Apol was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2016. The result of EUR 5,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Apol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A horse-drawn cart on a snowy path in May 2013 with an auction result of EUR 79,500.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Along a canal in winter von Louis Apol kam im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 5.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Apol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A horse-drawn cart on a snowy path im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 79.500,00.
