Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction The Schoeni Family Collection, which included the work Sleeping & Insomnia Series No.16(Painted In 1996) by Liu Xiaodong. The price achieved of HKD 259,600.00 (€ 28,572.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Xiaodong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Disobeying The Rules in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 66,200,000.00 (€ 6,815,482.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion The Schoeni Family Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sleeping & Insomnia Series No.16(Painted In 1996) von Liu Xiaodong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 259.600,00 (€ 28.572,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Xiaodong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Disobeying The Rules im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 66.200.000,00 (€ 6.815.482,84).
