Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2007 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Art II, which included the work Childhood Diary Series: Red Wall And White Cloud by Liu Hongwei. The price achieved of HKD 120,000.00 (€ 11,235.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Hongwei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Piggy Toy in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 860,000.00 (€ 76,931.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2007 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Art II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Childhood Diary Series: Red Wall And White Cloud von Liu Hongwei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 120.000,00 (€ 11.235,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Hongwei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Piggy Toy im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 860.000,00 (€ 76.931,00).
