Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work 98 Diary - Still life by Liu Hongwei was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006. It achieved a price of HKD 312,000.00 (€ 31,338.58), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Hongwei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Piggy Toy, which sold at auction in May 2011 for HKD 860,000.00 (€ 76,931.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit 98 Diary - Still life von Liu Hongwei wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 312.000,00 (€ 31.338,58) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Hongwei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Piggy Toy beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für HKD 860.000,00 (€ 76.931,00) versteigert wurde.
