In October 2015 Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Linda's Pictures: Images by Linda McCartney by Linda McCartney. The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,528.17) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Linda McCartney have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work My Love, London, 1978 in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,250.84).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2015 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Linda's Pictures: Images by Linda McCartney von Linda McCartney zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.528,17) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Linda McCartney auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit My Love, London, 1978 im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.250,84).
