Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tigers by Lillian Cheviot was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,183.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Lillian Cheviot have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2001 the work A Sheepdog Puppy With A Kitten was auctioned for GBP 4,112.50 (€ 6,831.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tigers von Lillian Cheviot kam im Dezember 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 4.183,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Lillian Cheviot konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2001 die Arbeit A Sheepdog Puppy With A Kitten für GBP 4.112,50 (€ 6.831,68) versteigert.
