Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The black stallion by Lillian Cheviot was sold in the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in August 2006. The price achieved of GBP 360.00 (€ 535.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lillian Cheviot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Sheepdog Puppy With A Kitten in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 4,112.50 (€ 6,831.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The black stallion von Lillian Cheviot wurde im August 2006 in der Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 360,00 (€ 535,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lillian Cheviot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Sheepdog Puppy With A Kitten im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.112,50 (€ 6.831,68).
