Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Liang Yuanwei achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Piece Of Life sold for HKD 2,125,000.00 (€ 224,221.47) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liang Yuanwei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Styx River in May this year with an auction result of HKD 14,895,000.00 (€ 1,785,330.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liang Yuanwei erzielte im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Piece Of Life für HKD 2.125.000,00 (€ 224.221,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liang Yuanwei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Styx River im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 14.895.000,00 (€ 1.785.330,86).
