It achieved a price of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 154,914.34), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 72%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liang Yuanwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Styx River in May this year with an auction result of HKD 14,895,000.00 (€ 1,785,330.86).

Die Arbeit Piece Of Life No. 7 von Liang Yuanwei wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Asian Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 154.914,34) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 72%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liang Yuanwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Styx River im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 14.895.000,00 (€ 1.785.330,86).
