Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Piece Of Life 15 by Liang Yuanwei was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Asian Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The price achieved of HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 139,744.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 900,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liang Yuanwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Styx River in May this year with an auction result of HKD 14,895,000.00 (€ 1,785,330.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Piece Of Life 15 von Liang Yuanwei wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Asian Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.187.500,00 (€ 139.744,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 900.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liang Yuanwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Styx River im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 14.895.000,00 (€ 1.785.330,86).
