Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Liang Yuanwei achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Oval (Two Works) sold for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 40,889.33) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liang Yuanwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Styx River in May this year with an auction result of HKD 14,895,000.00 (€ 1,785,330.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liang Yuanwei erzielte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Oval (Two Works) für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 40.889,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liang Yuanwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Styx River im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 14.895.000,00 (€ 1.785.330,86).
