The work Portrait Of Dr. Ma Luk by Li Tiefu was sold in the Modern Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 125,034.21), 52% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Li Tiefu; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Still Life With Cabbage And Fish sold at auction in April 2014 with the realized price of HKD 1,410,000.00 (€ 131,139.15).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of Dr. Ma Luk von Li Tiefu wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Modern Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 125.034,21) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Li Tiefu; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Still Life With Cabbage And Fish im April 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.410.000,00 (€ 131.139,15).
