Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Life Raft by Li Songsong was worth HKD 2,660,000.00 (€ 262,816.81) to a buyer in November 2010. This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Songsong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work National Geographic, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 5,750,000.00 (€ 562,860.72).

Die Arbeit Life Raft von Li Songsong war einem Käufer im November 2010 HKD 2.660.000,00 (€ 262.816,81) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Songsong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit National Geographic beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 5.750.000,00 (€ 562.860,72) versteigert wurde.
