In May 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work Abstract by Li Chun-Shan. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,560,000.00 (€ 156,692.90), 30% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Chun-Shan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Abstraction, which sold at auction in May 2005 for HKD 3,928,000.00 (€ 409,054.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Abstract von Li Chun-Shan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.560.000,00 (€ 156.692,90) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Chun-Shan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Abstraction beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für HKD 3.928.000,00 (€ 409.054,01) versteigert wurde.
