This artwork by Li Chun-Shan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. In the Modern Asian Art auction, the work No. 188 sold for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,112.78) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Chun-Shan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstraction in May 2005 with an auction result of HKD 3,928,000.00 (€ 409,054.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Chun-Shan erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Asian Art wurde die Arbeit No. 188 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.112,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Chun-Shan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstraction im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.928.000,00 (€ 409.054,01).
