This artwork by Lewis Baltz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in October last year. In the Photographs auction, the work Santa Cruz sold for USD 32,760.00 (€ 32,977.65) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lewis Baltz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Candlestick Point, which sold at auction in April 2018 for USD 118,750.00 (€ 98,351.83).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Lewis Baltz erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Santa Cruz für USD 32.760,00 (€ 32.977,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lewis Baltz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Candlestick Point beobachtet, die im April 2018 für USD 118.750,00 (€ 98.351,83) versteigert wurde.
