Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lewis Baltz could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Classic Photographs auction, the work Night Construction, Reno (from Nevada) changed hands for USD 4,788.00 (€ 4,144.74) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lewis Baltz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Candlestick Point in April 2018 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 98,351.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lewis Baltz konnte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Classic Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Night Construction, Reno (from Nevada) für USD 4.788,00 (€ 4.144,74) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lewis Baltz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Candlestick Point im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 98.351,83).
