Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Orange County (series 'Prototype Works'), 1970 by Lewis Baltz was sold in the Photographies auction at Christies in Paris in November last year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 21,420.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 18,000.00 – 22,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lewis Baltz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Candlestick Point in April 2018 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 98,351.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Orange County (series 'Prototype Works'), 1970 von Lewis Baltz wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Photographies bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 21.420,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 18.000,00 – 22.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lewis Baltz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Candlestick Point im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 98.351,83).
