Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included this untitled work by Leonid Purygin. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,540.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Leonid Purygin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Babylon Tower in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 56,900.00 (€ 79,674.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Leonid Purygin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.540,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonid Purygin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Babylon Tower im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.900,00 (€ 79.674,72).
