A top price for Leonid Purygin
This artwork by Leonid Purygin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2007. In the Russian Art and Paintings auction, the work Babylon Tower sold for GBP 56,900.00 (€ 79,674.72) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. This high result makes Babylon Tower the most expensive artwork by Leonid Purygin that we have observed at auctions so far.
