This artwork by Leonid Purygin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in October 2019. In the Escape Artists 2.0: The Non-Conformists Online auction, the work Bagatelle sold for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,808.61) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Leonid Purygin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Babylon Tower in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 56,900.00 (€ 79,674.72).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Leonid Purygin erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Escape Artists 2.0: The Non-Conformists Online wurde die Arbeit Bagatelle für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.808,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonid Purygin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Babylon Tower im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.900,00 (€ 79.674,72).
