Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hieroglyphic Figures by Leonard Nelson was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in February 2007. Here, the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 10,800.00 (€ 8,163.27). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonard Nelson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spring, which sold at auction in February 2007 for USD 26,400.00 (€ 19,954.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hieroglyphic Figures von Leonard Nelson wurde im Februar 2007 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 10.800,00 (€ 8.163,27) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonard Nelson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spring beobachtet, die im Februar 2007 für USD 26.400,00 (€ 19.954,65) versteigert wurde.
